The challenge
Morrow + Lorraine began working with Meggan in 2021. Their ISO 14001 management system was in place, but their audit process lacked structure and confidence. The Environmental Management System (EMS) was not operating efficiently, and the audit process felt daunting, particularly for team members experiencing it for the first time.
There was a clear need to strengthen the system, improve audit readiness, and ensure the EMS genuinely supported the business, rather than existing purely for compliance.
That’s when they reached out to Meggan.
Our approach
Meggan worked closely with Morrow + Lorraine’s team to understand how environmental management aligned with their values. This included long-term commitments, and their Net Zero ambitions.
The focus was on building clarity, confidence, andcapability within the team, while ensuring the system itself was practical, robust, and scalable.
Particular attention was given to audit preparation. Meggan wanted to remove uncertainty, strengthen evidence, and ensure everyone involved understood both the process and their role within it.
The solution
Brookfields Consultancy (now known as isoLogic) supported the development of a streamlined, well-structured Environmental Management System that was both compliant and genuinely effective. The EMS was strengthened to ensure it was watertight, well-maintained, and capable of standing up to external scrutiny.
Ongoing support has resulted in consistently successful audits, with positive feedback received from the certification body regarding both the quality of the system and the level of readiness demonstrated by the team.
The outcome
Since working with Meggan, all audits have run smoothly and efficiently. This has reinforced the company’s belief in their Environmental Management System and the confidence of the people responsible for maintaining it.
Morrow + Lorraine are now equipped with a mature, flourishing EMS that continues to evolve, supporting their environmental objectives and Net Zero pledge.
